Gbenga dropped out of sec. school. Although a very bright student one thing or the other made him leave school, his boyhood friend Peter however managed to go on with his studies, and at a time when it wasn’t easy to make a Division A, in WAEC, Peter did. Today rotary club of trans Amadi had there seminar/workshop with teachers Topic: The role of teachers in children development. Discussion: So many discussion were made centering on child abuse, drug abuseabuse, rape etc Teachers were advice to properly educate the child and also maintain quality training themselves. Other discussion were made concerning corporal punishment, alot parents kick against corporal punishment because of development and civilization. Though it has an advantage were buy it promote learning, and fear, most expecially when teacher comes into the class with cane. Though corporal punishment might bring inferiority complex on the child.
